Welcome to our final newsletter for 2024!
It has been an eventful year at the Centre and we are delighted to have welcomed many new members, introduced new activities and programs and watched our existing classes and groups continue to grow!
Sadly, we said goodbye to a number of our volunteers this year, including Richard, who was our longest serving volunteer, well known for his love of jigsaw puzzles and always eager and ready to help!
Volunteers are integral to the Centre's operations and on behalf of the board, we want to say thank you to each and everyone volunteer, including the outgoing board, who committed their time, energy and enthusiasm to making Neutral Bay Community Centre a welcoming and inviting space for our members.
If you would like to volunteer with us in 2025, we would love to hear from you. Please send us an email and we will be in touch.
A special thank you to our Office Manager, Stephanie, who stepped into the role six months ago. Stephanie has been instrumental in keeping the centre operational and working hard behind the scenes to serve our members. Stephanie will finish up with us on 6 December and we will be recruiting a new Centre Coordinator to commence in 2025.
Please take the time to say thanks to Stephanie when you are next in the Centre.
We are grateful to Gill Melling, who has kindly offered to step in on a causal basis for the last two weeks of 2024!
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Myf, another valued staff member who contributed her time in 2024.
The success of Neutral Bay Community Centre and all the activities enjoyed by our members would not be possible without are loyal instructors. Thank you to all of our instructors, but particularly those who contribute their time and expertise in leading multiple classes to suit everyone! A special shout out to Janice (Pilates), Joseph (Yoga), Peter (Tai Chi) and Raquel (Strength and Balance, Circuit, Mobility Stability and Balance)
