 FRIDAY OUTINGS GROUP EXCURSIONS
 
We have planned a private tour of the famous Sydney Opera House and want you to join us!
 
WHEN:                  Friday, 2 May 2025
TIME:                    10:30AM
WHERE:                We meet at the “Welcome Centre” at the Opera House
HOW MANY:         Max. 40 people
COST:                    $20/person. (*This outing is being subsidised by the                                        Community Centre)
CUT OFF DATE:   24 April 2025
 
We will join a private Sydney Opera House guided tour to discover the history, architecture and extraordinary story of Sydney’s Opera House. Beneath the magnificent sails lies incredible spaces and stories. We will learn about the controversial history, some unforgettable performances and the exciting future of the Sydney Opera House. 
 
Our tour will walk us through and see the House up close and personal. Each perspective brings a unique and breathtaking experience.
  • This guided tour runs for 60 minutes (1 hour).
  • Suitable for all ages.
  • The Sydney Opera House Tour is in English.
  • Please note that as the Opera House is a busy performing arts centre, venues and theatres are subject to availability at the time of our tour and the tour route is subject to change.
  • Please note that whilst we have booked the 'Lift/Escalator' Tour, there might be some stairs involved in this tour.

New Classes

 

We are delighted to let you know that once again we are expanding our offering of classes.

 

Move and Tone withInga

Starting Tuesday 18th March at 8am.

 

The ideal class for those wanting a medium paced workout (to music). 45 minutes of constant movement, this invigorating class comprises:- light cardiovascular movement routines, Zumba light, followed by basic muscle toning exercises and a relaxing cool down. (Incorporating dance moves, dumbbells, bands and body weight exercises). This class is designed to maintain and improve cardiovascular fitness and strengthen and condition your body.

Intensity level: moderate to light.

Come along and join Ros as she leads you in all sorts of dance steps. No partner required. Great variety, great music and fun guaranteed. The opportunity also to dance like no one’s watching...or sit and watch!! Great exercise for your mind, body and spirit.

New Board 

 

Our AGM was held on Tuesday 4th March and our Board for 2025 was elected.  Thanks were given to Georgina Napier who stood down this year, for her time on the Board and her unending support of our Centre.

We had a great turnout and the meeting was followed by cheese and wine!

Last week our very own pink ladies dropped in!  Obviously a secret memo had gone round saying that the dress code for that day was Pink!!

There was a lot of laughter when they all realised that they looked alike.

Art in the Afternoons

 

We are asking for expressions of interest in a new project we are undertaking.

Starting in April and running weekly, we are going to be offering Art in the Afternoons sessions.  This will be open to all artists, but will focus initially on acrylics.  However, all mediums are welcome, bring along your own Work In Progress!

All materials will be provided initially to get you started.

 

Thanks to North Sydney Council for funding this project.
